Listening to a “Frank’s Box” talk, I’ve felt my stomach drop into my feet. During paranormal investigations and experimental séances, bursts of audio—songs, advertisements, or DJ chatter—answer questions with unnerving precision. Once, my friend George Hansen, author of The Trickster and the Paranormal, asked the box, “Is 3 x 3 here?”, referencing a spirit guide associated with SORRAT¹. A flat, male voice instantly blurted: “Nine.”
